About Our Meetings

Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month September through June from 8:15 - 10:30 a.m. at:

Attendees enjoy a continental networking breakfast followed by a topical presentation. Past presenters include:

Guidelines for Written Senior Service Networking Meeting Announcements

Definition of a written announcement:

  • Available as a member privilege
  • Announces upcoming events or personnel change/job seeker information to be included in a handout at the next Senior Service Network Meeting

Written announcements:

  1. To guarantee inclusion announcements must be received at least 10 days prior to the SSN meeting which is usually held the first Thursday of the month October through June
  2. Must be less than 100 words, (or announcement will not be published)
  3. Need to include the following as appropriate to event:
    • Date
    • Time
    • Address (mailing or event location)
    • Contact phone number
    • Fee if applicable
    • Event details
  4. Contact information of person submitting announcement including name, organization, office and cell phone numbers and e-mail address.

Directions to Holiday Park:
Take Capital Beltway / I-495 to Exit 33, Connecticut Avenue/185 North. Go 2 miles on Connecticut Avenue to Kensington. Passing through Kensington, the right lanes become University Blvd; keep to the left to stay on Connecticut. Go 1.6 miles to the fourth light and turn left onto Viers Mill Road. Take the first left on Viers Mill, at Ferrara Avenue. (There is a sign for Holiday Park at the turn.) Go one block to the stop sign at Ferrara Drive and continue straight into Holiday Park. Parking is mostly behind the building.
