GROWS brings together social service and government agencies, businesses, religious organizations, eldercare professional and seniors for collaborative initiatives in addressing the needs of seniors.
GROWS provides education about the needs of seniors and their caregivers through a variety of forums, including general membership meetings, public events, political debates, newsletters and website updates and links.
GROWS advocates on behalf of seniors and the people and organizations who care for them by building action coalitions, testifying at government hearings, publishing reports on pertinent issues and promoting policies that improve quality of life.
GROWS facilitates public awareness about vital services for seniors through a variety of structured and informal networking opportunities for service providers and caregivers as well as through publications and guides.
GROWS Monthly Networking Meetings

The monthly programs for senior service providers include a networking continental breakfast and a topical presentation. Written announcements are distributed at each meeting. Most meetings are free and are held the first Thursday of January, February, April, May, September, and October, at 8:15-10:30 AM at the Holiday Park Senior Center.
“Meeting the needs of seniors is one of the most important and complex challenges facing our community today. We are fortunate to have an organization like GROWS to advocate and educate for older adults and their families. Together with GROWS, we are working to ensure Montgomery County remains a place where seniors, especially the frail and at-risk, can lead meaningful and fulfilling lives.”
